$1,000 reward offered for Gibbs’ arrest
FD man wanted for shooting death of Shane Wessels
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of Levi Gibbs III, who is being sought in connection with a fatal shooting.
Webster County Crime Stoppers announced the reward Wednesday.
Gibbs, 27, of Fort Dodge, is being sought on a first-degree murder warrant for the shooting death of Shane Wessels, 32, of Fort Dodge, on Sept. 3.
The nationwide arrest warrant for Gibbs was issued Tuesday.
Gibbs is accused of shooting Wessels in Pleasant Valley on Sept. 3.
Fort Dodge Police officers found Wessels unresponsive at the intersection of 10th Avenue Southwest and 10th Street Southwest after responding to a report of shots fired.
The Fort Dodge Police Department believes there was a fight before Wessels was shot.
Wessels was transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
