Musician, painter and children’s book author Chad Elliott, of Lamoni, at right, gets a little help from Sadie Shields, 6, of Fort Dodge, as he performs one of the songs from his album “Wilderman’s Treetop Tales” at the Blanden Memorial Art Museum Thursday afternoon. The paintings on the wall were all done by Elliott and served as the inspiration for the book and album. Jim Van Dorn, of Stuart, plays drums at left. Elliott has several other albums of music to his credit including his newest CD “Wreck and Ruin.” About 50 people attended the free show.
