Two injured when vehicles collide

The crash happened at about 10 p.m. Police Lt. Matt Lundberg said a sport utility vehicle was westbound on Fifth Avenue South when another sport utility vehicle turned north onto 21st Street in front of it. The two SUVs collided and the impact pushed one of them into a pickup truck that was on 21st Street waiting for the traffic light to change. Lundberg said the driver of one SUV and the passenger who was in the other one were both taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center. Fort Dodge police and firefighters, paramedics from Trinity Regional Medical Center and Webster County sheriff’s deputies were on scene.
