Two injured in head-on collision

Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a head-on collision Sunday morning near National Avenue, north of Fort Dodge, according to April Murray, Webster County sheriff’s deputy.

The accident was reported at 8:39 a.m.

Jeffrey Frese, 54, of Fort Dodge, was traveling northbound in a white pickup truck.

Gaylen Pierson, 61, of Fort Dodge was traveling southbound in an SUV.

Frese reportedly crossed the center line and his truck collided with the SUV.

Gaylen Pierson and a passenger in her car, Cristy Pierson, 59, also of Fort Dodge, were transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center with injuries, Murray reported.

Frese was cited in the accident for failure to maintain control, according to Murray.

No injuries to Frese were reported.
