Fort Dodge boil advisory issued for part of Pleasant Valley
A boil advisory has been issued for part of Pleasant Valley after a loss of pressure Monday.
According to the city’s Public Works Department, the area of 17th Street Southwest between 14th and 15th avenues southwest are affected.
Public Works stated that the water supply had a problem in the distribution system, causing it to lose pressure Monday.
“The integrity of the system may have been compromised,” Public Works said in a statement. “Therefore, it is being recommended that the water be boiled before using for drinking or cooking or that an alternative source be used.”
Water may be used for bathing.
The system has been repaired and repressurized and the city we will be collecting bacteria samples for testing.
