Fort Dodge Senior High students preparing to take the ACT, SAT or PSAT now have another option to help them study.

FDSH is offering free test preparation sessions from 8 a.m. to noon on Nov.10 and Nov. 17 at the high school.

Students may participate in the session or sessions that meet their needs.

On Nov. 10, reading will be reviewed from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and science from 10 a.m. to noon. On Nov. 17, English and writing will be reviewed from 8 a.m. to10 a.m. and math from 10 a.m. to noon.

Students should sign up for this free preparation with Gail Linde in the FDSH counseling area. Focus of the sessions may include free resources available for students to prepare beyond the sessions, strategies for each test section, test question strategies, practice tests for the section, prep guides and more.

The counseling department also has preparation manuals for each exam for students that include sample tests and strategy suggestions for taking the exams. The ACT site and the College Board site also offer students an opportunity to receive test questions electronically daily by signing up when you register.

Anyone with questions about these opportunities may contact Peg Christensen, FDSH school counselor, at 574-5772.
