CCS Christmas Shop set for Tuesday after program

The fifth and sixth grade classrooms at Community Christian School will have a Christmas Shop set up before and after the CCS Christmas Program on Tuesday.

The Christmas program will be performed at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the school’s chapel located at 2406 9 1/2 Ave. S. in Fort Dodge.

The purpose of the CCS Christmas Shop is to provide CCS families and the community with a place where they can buy Christmas items and books that celebrate the birth of Jesus.

The Christmas Shop will be offering books, posters, calendars and gift items for all ages.

Prices will range from 25 cents for candy canes to books that sell from $2 and up. Hoodies are $30.

Organizing the Christmas Shop works well with the Classroom Economy program that the fifth- and sixth-graders operate in their classroom.

The Christmas Shop offers students a real-world experience involved in running a small business.

Funds raised through the Christmas Shop will be used to create Christmas care packages.

The Christmas Shop may be open other days during the Christmas season. Look for it at CCS home basketball games in December. For more information, call CCS at 573-3011.
