Bonnie Riphagen now at CFR

Bonnie Riphagen, LMSW, focuses on client health at Community and Family Resources as a mental health therapist based in Fort Dodge. She was previously employed with Hospice. Originally from Pella, Riphagen now resides on a small acreage near Jefferson with her husband.

Riphagen obtained her master’s degree from the University of Iowa, and is currently working to obtain her EMDR, a type of trauma therapy that helps clients in processing painful memories using bilateral stimulation. Since she started with CFR in June of 2017, Riphagen has used the skills she obtained as a bereavement counselor of 11 years to assist her in her daily interactions with her clients.

Riphagen works the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit, or ACSU. The unit focuses on an interdisciplinary team approach.

CFR offers substance abuse, mental health, and problem gambling treatment and prevention services. Counties served include Boone, Calhoun, Franklin, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Story, Webster, and Wright.
