Nancy Leo receives award for her Civitan work
Nancy Leo, a member of Fort Dodge Civitan, has been recognized by the North Central District of Civitan. She received the District Honor Key as well as a plaque for her service to Civitan at the district level. She currently is the public relations chair for the district.
Leo has been a Civitan member since 1982 and is currently the Fort Dodge president. The local club serves the community by helping the disabled of the area which includes providing dances, picnic and bingo for the various group home facilities as well as individuals. The club also provides local community service projects which include serving meals to the Beacon of Hope, ringing bells for The Salvation Army, and cleaning a two mile stretch of Highway 20 for the Iowa Department of Transportation.
