Rev. Sara Hill takes on new role

The Rev. Sara Hill, associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church, was recently installed as the Moderator of the Presbytery of North Central Iowa for 2018.

As Moderator of the Presbytery, Hill’s roles will include moderating Presbytery meetings, serving as a delegate at the General Assembly of the PC (USA) and presiding over all ordination, installation and commissioning services that take place. North Central Iowa Presbytery is comprised of 46 Presbyterian churches throughout north central Iowa in the PC (USA) denomination.

Hill and her husband, the Rev. Dr. Austin Hill, both serve as pastors at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge. Sara Hill has also served as pastor of the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield. Originally from Pennsylvania, Hill earned a B.A. degree in communication studies from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. She was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2010.
