Connie Harvey now at CFR

Community and Family Resources, a local nonprofit provider of behavioral health services, has welcomed Connie Harvey, of Fort Dodge, to the agency as an adult residential counselor. Harvey has begun taking clients at this time at the residential unit located at 726 South 17th Street in Fort Dodge.

Harvey began with CFR in 2012 as an overnight treatment specialist at the STARS Adolescent Residential Treatment Program and worked with that until 2014.  At that time she returned to the Alzheimer’s unit with Friendship Haven helping to organize activities for residents. Harvey finished her bachelor’s degree in human services and psychology with a minor in sociology at Buena Vista University.

CFR offers substance abuse, mental health, and problem gambling treatment and prevention services. Counties served by CFR include Story, Webster, Boone, Hamilton, Wright, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Calhoun, Franklin and Hardin. In Fiscal Year 2015, CFR provided behavioral health treatment services to 2,906 unduplicated individuals. CFR is the Iowa Department of Public Health’s designated provider of substance abuse treatment services in eight north central Iowa counties, including Webster County.
