Kirby Gordon and Nathan Smith

Kirby Gordon, of Fort Dodge, and Nathan Smith, of Otho, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Matt and Kim Gordon, of Fort Dodge; Tom Smith, of Barnum; and Sheila Smith, of Otho.

A Sept. 23 wedding is planned.

Gordon earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary/ early childhood education from the University of Northern Iowa. She is an early childhood special education preschool teacher for the Fort Dodge Community School District.

Smith attended Iowa Central Community College where he studied conservation. He is a lead operator for AML Riverside.
