Bridge players support Gateway to Discovery

The NW Iowa Unit 235 Bridge Association, including the Fort Dodge Duplicate Bridge Club, recently held their annual charity event in Aurelia. The charity selected to receive the donations was Gateway to Discovery of Fort Dodge, a two-year faith-based residential program “Offering Women a Sanctuary for Recovering in Community.” The women served are recovering from various drug and alcohol addictions, human trafficking and homelessness. More than 60 women have benefited from the program since its inception in 2013. Generous bridge players gave $1,817 to Gateway at this event and other individuals agreed to match all or part of the amount raised with a final total of $6,634.
