Downtown FD will get creepy

Ghouls Night Out is coming

Stores in downtown Fort Dodge are coming together Thursday for Ghouls Night Out.

“This is a great community event that helps bring more people downtown to the local businesses, while offering different special sales at each location,” said Amanda Bush, the co-owner of Rush Hour Clothing Co.

Each of the participating businesses will have their own special sales only from 4 to7 p.m. during Ghouls Night Out.

Participating businesses include Mary Kay’s Gift and Home Decor, 1114 Central Ave.; Real Deals on Home Decor, 329 Central Ave.; 2be Trendy/Baby Barn/Tin Shed, 1018 Central Ave.; Rush Hour Clothing Co., 1208 First Ave. S.; Shiny Top Brewery, 520 Central Ave.; Tillies Quilts, 17 S. 12th St.; Katy Lynn Boutique, 1109 Central Ave.; Lilly Grace on Central, 521 Central Ave.; Spice Shack, 14 N. 11th St.; and Studio Fushion, 21 S. 12th St.

While those participating are shopping, they will also get a special treat from the businesses.

“Each business will have a different kind of treat to offer to the guests and even some snacks for them to enjoy while shopping,” Bush said. ”To find out what the special treats are, you are going to have to come out to Ghouls Night Out.”

The community will have more chances to participate in special, relaxing shopping events with the downtown stores.

On Nov. 16 and Dec. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. will be the event, “Wine-ing about Winter.” There will also be special sales at each participating business while shoppers get to have a relaxing evening of holiday shopping while wine tasting at each business.
