Photography and music in Fonda
FONDA — The Fonda Arts Center will have music and photographic art at the center beginning at 3 p.m. on June 24.
Yvette Crotty, Jason Braunschweig, Scott Kilbride and Marilyn Tamm-Schmitt will display some of their finest work in a variety of photographic mediums such as metallic, acrylic, and conventional, along with narrative to help viewers better understand and appreciate this visual experience.
On the musical side of the afternoon’s entertainment will be Carter Nath returning to the Fonda Arts Center after a year of furthering his experience, including studying at the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland, for the 2017 fall semester on a performing arts abroad program. During this time abroad, he was able to travel and perform for professors from around the world. Nath began taking piano lessons at the age of 4, and has received division 1 honors at the state level, as well as finishing among the top three in the statewide Terrace Hill Piano Competition in March 2017. For more than a year, Nath has been the owner and certified technician and piano tuner of Carter’s Piano Service in Algona, having bought Bill’s Piano Tuning in late 2016. Being proficient on many string instruments, he will play guitar and piano during his performance at the Arts Center.
The Fonda Arts Center is located on the northwest corner of Fourth and Main in Fonda. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
