MLK Community Dinner to be held Jan. 14
Coppin Chapel AME will host the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Dinner from 2 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the church, 329 First Ave. S. An “open mic” platform will take place during the dinner for those wishing to share poems, songs, MLK, history and community topics. The Rev. Carolyn Stevenson will begin with a MLK prayer and devotion at 2:30 p.m. followed by the open mic. The dinner is free and open to the public. Freewill donations will be accepted by Coppin Chapel for those who would like to give to the church.
